Youth Christmas Party
Everyone had fun at the Youth Christmas Party 2015 at the Merville Country Club. There were 35 in attendance! It was on Sunday, December 14, 2014.
We met at Makati Church at 1pm, and then went to the Merville Country Club. It cost 50 pesos for non swimmers and 100 pesos for swimmers. People settled and and started playing Dance Dance Revolution and Bandminton right away. The Pancit, Pizza and Salad merienda arrived and we all stuffed our faces. The presentation followed, explaining the schedule of the coming quarter, and a little bit about the new website – youth.ph. There was also a Firework Safety Advisory. BE CAREFUL! Better not play with these dangerous toys that can change your entire life if an accident were to ever happen.
The arts and crafts were a success, we completed all the outstanding items for the youth Christmas card fund raising programme. We are excited for next year already! We also were able to write out many special thank you cards for all the hard workers that are not in youth, but made massive contributions to other church programmes.
About 30 people participated in the swimming and had lots of fun – but we got in trouble for throwing balls again, as usual. The dinner was really good. There was rice, potatoes, vegetables and ginger beef. The Hot seat was 4 randomly selected youth, and our youth visitor from Vietnam. The Questions (and answers) are all confidential – you should have been there! The gift exchange followed and we ended the evening with the singing of Christmas songs that were dedicated to Canadian donors to the youth fund. We recorded with a cellphone camera, and sometimes had to retake them because of the planes flying overhead! The videos can be viewed already on youtube!
We would like to thank the Le Delice Management for providing so much wonderful food. We appreciate it very much!
