Confirmation marks a very special point in our Christian life in which we affirm for ourselves the faith into which you have been baptized and our intention to live a life committed to God. The confirmed transitions to being an adult member of the church which are called the Youths. They will recite their promise, the confirmation vow, with the principle that they will strive to avoid all evil and ungodly things and diligently follow the path of the gospel.

They profess belief in the triune God and announce their intention to conduct their lives in faith and obedience toward God until their end. This affirmation is confirmed and strengthens through prayer and the laying of hands by the confirming minister. In Quezon Province, we celebrated confirmation on May 2017. In Lopez, two souls were confirmed and some from Catanauan. Bishop Armando Cao came to celebrate the Divine Service. He shared the word from Acts 1:13-14 13 when they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying. Those present were Peter, John, James and Andrew; Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew; James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James. 14 They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers. The essence of the sermon is to stay devoted and always seek the food of our soul, the word of God which is only heard on Divine service. And the Yes in the confirmation is a Yes to follow Jesus, Yes to we want to serve God and Yes we want to enter His Kingdom.
